SUMMARY: JOB DESCRIPTION:
This individual will play a support role within the PI PASD Team.
The position will focus on delivering production support services to distributed applications within the PI production systems portfolio.
This role requires working closely with other members within the production support team as well as multiple internal business customers. Support will include problem research, monitoring, communication escalation, minor enhancements and ongoing day to day production support activities to include on-call responsibilities. Other responsibilities will include continual application and process reviews as well as conducting any needed updates for production documentation, building of new alerts and monitoring procedures and cross training on other supported systems on an as directed basis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver production support services for distributed applications within the PI production systems portfolio. Work will include, but not be limited to, the following:
* Break/fix remediation
* Smaller enhancements to the existing systems to include (but not limited to) utilizing alerting and monitoring tools such as Site Scope and Log File Adpaters (LFAs).
* Proactive incident/problem prevention.
* Optimization of existing applications/code to run more efficiently and reduce costs.
Experience Required: Computer Science, MIS or Engineering major with some working knowledge of .Net, JAVA, HTML, XML.
